This question is in response to your tarot reversals, which, by the way has been inspiring; and is for me instinctively the right way. What if a bad omen card is reversed, you dont want to reach the “potential” of it; could you explain?really enjoying your teaching methods makes a great deal of sense, will be signing up shortly

well.. it depends on the situation of course, but if it is feeling right to look at the cards through the lens I present in the reversed trainings, where we basically suggest that perhaps reversed cards are ‘working points” in the reading… cards that “want” to be turned the right way around, this is what I would suggest: There isn’t really any such thing as a “bad” card in tarot… only cards that we are uncomfortable at looking at or moving through. For a few months, for instance, I had Death showing up as reversed. As much as I didn’t want to face up to it, it was time for me to leave my marriage or ten years… and the more I put off the acceptance and pain of that ending (a true ‘death’ experience!), the more the card persistantly began to show up. I didn’t want to have to face that part of my path, where I had to make a huge transition… it was difficult and very painful and a tumultuous year…. and to move through it by “turning the death card the right way up” required a lot of courage and authenticity. Deep down I knew that it was for the best in the long run to make that change, but it was certainly not an attractive thing to have to face up to.
I hope that example makes sense: basically my answer is that we don’t want to move through an uncomfortable situation or emotion that we may be avoiding having to face up to… a reversed “uncomfortable” card is usually telling that it is time to face the music anyway, unfortunately.
